Well, the bedrest has paid off and Jamie has remained stable and unchanged since she first arrived at the hospital on March 25. Therefore the doctors finally decided that she could GO HOME and continue bedrest in the comfort of our home!! Perhaps the constant complaining and progressively deteriorating attitude had a part in their decision, but whatever works, right? We have definitely discovered the great truth to the statement "Doctors make the worst patients"!
Jamie came home on Monday, 4/27 and has been doing well ever since. We are at 30 weeks now (and counting) with no signs of labor. So far, we've made it 6 weeks longer than the prognosis given when she was admitted! Stubborness goes a long way!!
We would like to give special thanks to everyone that came to visit, called, emailed and sent so many lovely gifts that helped to brighten my hospital room and keep me entertained. Special thanks to Grandma Eileen C., Aunt Chrissy and Aunt Wendy for the cards, flowers, visits and all the yummy food that saved Jamie from the hospital meals, and to Grandma Eileen M. and Grandpa John for helping us finish the nursery and for spending their weekend cooking and cleaning the house while Jamie sat around and watched Oprah! Thanks to Jamie's awesome boss and coworkers for their overwhelming support and love! We have realized even moreso through this difficult time just how lucky we are to have so many loved ones in our life and we are deeply grateful. We have no doubt that your prayers and support made a huge impact in getting us to where we are now and keeping our babies safe. We are eternally grateful and love you all!
