July

It has now been one year since we brought the twins home from the hospital on June 26, 2009. What a fantastic and crazy year it has been! The kids are growing more every day and are now moving into the toddler phase...no more little babies! Elliot is now working very hard on walking and can take more and more steps every day. Ava cruises around while holding onto things, but we're in no hurry for her to walk just yet. Just like with the crawling stage, one mobile trouble magnet at a time is fine with us. Ava can certainly take her sweet time!

Here are some random photos from the past month...

Ava all smiles!

Ava loves to point at everything now. She uses her index finger to explore everything.
Ava is also becoming a very particular little girl. She loves to sort and organize things. She will dump out containers of toys, then put them all back (until Elliot comes and destroys her hard work).

Our messy eater....blackberries were perhaps not the best idea!

Elliot had to have a second procedure on his left eye to try to open the tear duct. The first procedure last month helped a lot, but it wasn't completely fixed. Here he is in his hospital gown waiting to get started.

And here he is drumming away just a few hours after getting home from the hospital....no worse for the wear! He did great and we're just hoping this procedure will be his last!

And we're walking! So proud of himself!

Some random pics, just hanging out!

The twins are getting much more interactive with each other and even though Elliot starts trouble inadvertently by taking Ava's toys or stepping on her, she is turning out to be quite the instigator when it comes to "fighting"
