This is the first year the kids actually participated in decorating the Christmas tree and they had a great time, Ava especially. Elliot hung several ornaments then got bored and moved on to more active adventures, mainly things he could crash into, jump off of or throw across the room (that was frowned upon when it came to the ornaments). But Ava stuck around until every last ornament was hung. We tried to help them distribute ornaments evenly, but as you'll see in the finished product photo, the lower right quadrant was a distinct favorite!

We've been having a blast playing outside lately since the weather has been so beautiful!
The kids have been intensely practicing their skills at climbing out of their cribs lately, so we thought it was time to move on to the "big kid" beds (basically just took the front off of their cribs). This was their first night sleeping with this new freedom. They thought it was incredibly exciting as we were deconstructing the cribs, climbing in and out and jumping all over the place. We were more than a little nervous about what kind of hijinks they were going to get into when left alone at night, but they did great! So far, so good. We'll see how the next several nights play out.
