Summertime fun

We recently planted some vegetables using Sesame Street gardening kits the kids got from Aunt Cindy and Ellen for their birthdays. It got a bit messy (water + dirt + 2 toddlers = trouble ;), but the kids had a good time planting the seeds and decorated the pots. We're already seeing our tomato plants growing very quickly! Thanks Aunt Cindy and Ellen!

Decorating with stickers

A new favorite food at our house is corn on the cob! The kids love it (especially Elliot....but it is food after all!)  They seem to think it's very fun :)

Chris snapped this picture of Elliot taking a nap... time for a big boy bed soon?
(FYI- at their 2 year old pediatrician checkup, Elliot was in the 70-90th percentile for height for his age. Yep, I believe that!)

It's pool season again! Here we go, off for a swim!

We have a FANTASTIC little kid-sized wading pool in our complex (we've just discovered this, always thought it was a jacuzzi behind that gate). The kids LOVED it! They quickly learned how to get in and out of the pool all by themselves and can walk through the whole thing (deepest area is only waist-deep for them).  Surprisingly, after Ava's questionable response to the water last year, she has turned into a little fish! She LOVES the pool and wants to kick and paddle and splash. I think she wants to take off on her own and swim. We need to look into swim lessons very soon! She's going to be a natural :0)

Catching some rays...
