Our First Christmas!

The twins had a wonderful first Christmas this year with our family and friends. We drove down to South Florida and the babies were wonderful little travelers! We were amazed at how adaptable they are and how well they did in so many new situations. Though they are too young to understand Santa Claus and the excitement of Christmas morning, we were surprised (...and a bit intimidated) by Ava's interest in opening presents already! She dove right in and had a good time tearing into the wrapping. Not sure this bodes well for the future ;) Elliot enjoyed it as well, but not nearly as intensely!

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and we wish you all the best for the New Year. 2009 brought us enough excitement to last through the next decade, so we are certainly looking forward to a much more uneventful 2010! But as we look back on the past year, the immeasurable blessings we received far outweigh the challenges that brought us here. We are so fortunate and thankful beyond words. Here's to a happy, healthy, prosperous and joyous New Year for all!

...and holding himself up standing!!! He can't pull himself up yet, but once I placed him there standing up, he held on and stood there for a long time playing with the monkey! They are growing so fast!! Didn't we just bring them home from the hospital???
